Recently been playing a videogame called XCOM. So playing it I built up a team, customised them by name an appearance, levelled up their skill's via missions. Then days went by and I was still playing, even at stupid o'clock in the morning it was always 'one more mission'. My squad had moments of glory and several near death experiences. Hours and weeks past and I grew to have 3 favourites amongst the team, used them in every mission. Then, on a level I thought would be easy a careless mistake left one KIA. That mistake caused the other 2 to be killed a move later. They died in less than 3 minutes, picked off like flies! I was gutted! Hours I had these guys, I stared blankly at the screen as it flashed 'saving game' and they were gone! Leaving only recruits behind left to fight another day. I was gutted but I loved it! Brilliant game and I can't recommend it enough. Only learn from my mistake, don't get too attached. It's been 4 days and I'm still in mourning. So this illustration is based on my favourite enemy in the game, Thin Man, he's full of character in a creepy camp way.
totaly agree, though i cant bring myself to play hardcore. I get far to attached and restart missions if anyone dies. Did one mission when i failed a 90% chace to hit, the died from a 20% chance. So lame XD.
