Don't worry about your play, getting good at this game takes massive loads of practice. Just remember to have fun!
Agree on Dota2. Its my first MOBA. I play online vs bots mostly, and ive played evey hero now. These days i like to play 'random', cause it gives me a chance to play heroes i wouldnt useually pick (and because of this ive found myself liking heros i didnt before) and also the extra 200 starting gold helps too.
My favorite is Natures prophet or broodmother. (and tranquil boots, which are the only boots i buy these days.)
